RF Magicians and Practitioners of the Dark Arts

From the depths of the oceans to the depths of deep space, farSight Technologies is solving the problems that others have said are impossible. Along the way we are enabling exciting exploration and capabilities including commercial space flight, national security and homeland defense, space and earth science, international shipping and logistics, combatting drugs and human trafficking, protecting law enforcement and first responders, and searching the skies for hazardous asteroids.

Our unique company seeks out the “best of the best”, and our virtual office model means that we can build teams comprised of outstanding people – no matter where they choose to work, live, and play. We don’t subscribe to a 9-5, M-F plan, believing that the best people – the most creative and successful teammates – will work better if they work the way they work best. Leveraging today’s technology for interconnected workplaces and telepresence we are proud of the balance our teammates have been work, family, and personal ambitions.

farSight Technologies is looking to fill several RF engineering positions with our rapidly growing team. Specific openings include roles for RF designers, electromagnetic structure design and simulation, spectrum management and NTIA/FCC process management, EMI/EMC and electromagnetic compatibility analysis and test, as well as engineers experienced in high-frequency, high-precision, low noise radio receivers and signal collectors including radiometers, radar, radio telescopes, and deep-space and low-SNR communication environments. Hands on experience in flight and ground test and field operations is a plus.

  • RF/Electromagnetic Modeling and Simulation: Specification and design of RF structures and systems from concept through requirements and design, to modeling and simulation, resulting in production and test of the final component or system. Experience desired working with frequencies ranging from HF through Ka-band and above. Required skills include expertise in RF and electromagnetic structures (antennas, waveguide, stripline/microstrip, free-space propagation, stripline/waveguide-based RF circuits and components) including their specification, design, modeling, analysis, manufacture, and test. Familiarity and a working knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink and the Ansys analysis tool suite is strongly desired.

  • High Frequency RF Engineer: Communications, navigation, remote sensing, and ISR systems including RF links for airborne, terrestrial, near-space, and deep space, SAR and traditional radars, radiometers and signal collection systems. Experience with higher frequency ranges including X-band, Ka-band, and above. RF circuit and system design, specification, assembly, integration, and test. Hands on experience testing and operating high frequency, precision systems a strong plus.

About the position:

  • This is a full time, exempt, salaried position.

  • The successful candidate will be eligible for full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k, and others.

  • This is primarily a “remote, work from home” position. farSight will provide all necessary IT and home office systems and software.

  • Limited travel is required.
